DENIS SHOULD BE PREPARED: Trump stumbled, but Bakir's flag won't yield!

Neither Bakir is Donald, nor Sebija is Melania. But the Izetbegovićs, looking at the proportional balance of power of the states they lead, are currently stronger than Trump.

The American billionaire and former US President realized what happens when, as the most powerful man in the most powerful country, you try to attack the system. He soon came to his senses, realized that the state is above any individual, and retracted many things he shouldn't have said.

Individuals, or more precisely, certain families in Bosnia and Herzegovina are above the state, the law, and political norms.

Because how else can we explain that while the US has had six different presidents, one family and their party have ruled Bosnia and Herzegovina for three decades of its independence?

And everything indicates that the ruling trend of the most powerful Bosnian-Herzegovinian oligarchy will continue into the fourth decade of its independence.

Bakir Izetbegović once stated on O kanal television that he would run again for the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Izetbegović Jr. announced this back in mid-2020.

“The party president is obliged to carry the party's flag when it comes to elections. For whatever the party tasks me with, I will carry the flag next time. I couldn't this time, I stayed in the House of Peoples because there was no chance for me to run. Party presidents should aim for the top position, and if I am in good health as I am now and if I have the party's support and trust, then I will, but 2022 is still far away. We will see what happens by then,” said the SDA president on June 10 last year.

He repeated the same message a few days ago: “I think every party president should do that if people ask him to.”

Several questions arise on their own after Izetbegović announced that he wants to return to the highest institution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The question of all questions, both within the SDA and in the broader socio-political context, is the position of Denis Zvizdić, one of the few remaining opponents of Izetbegović within the SDA.

Because Zvizdić, pragmatic and aware of the price he has paid so far, lives and survives in the SDA only on the hope that he will one day be a member of the BiH Presidency. And he is finding it increasingly difficult to hide this. And this is likely his last chance to assert himself and emerge as the leading figure of the SDA for the Presidency.

However, Bakir Izetbegović's message that he, as president, will carry the SDA's flag in the 2022 Presidency elections is simultaneously a message that Zvizdić will not be the candidate. Therefore, the first dilemma is whether Izetbegović's candidacy will cause a new tsunami of dissatisfaction within the SDA.

The second dilemma is whether Izetbegović, after all these years, has sufficient critical mass in the SDA's voter base to become a member of the BiH Presidency. Because there have been too many scandals in the six years that Izetbegović Jr. has led the party.

Crime, corruption, fraud, lawsuits, blacklists, Osmica, election rigging, blockade of the Federation, handing over the country to those who wish it an end, and so on ad infinitum.

Everything and anything has accumulated in Bakir Izetbegović's file. Some of his key people have left, he has lost Sarajevo, Zenica, Bihać.

The SDA, under Bakir Izetbegović's leadership, has slipped and is slipping deeper and deeper. The jackal-like struggle within the party is an increasingly heavy burden on the weak shoulders of a man who still floats on the political shoulders of his late father.

And Bakir must be aware that he will also bear all the side effects of Sebija Izetbegović's actions, the first lady who manages the KCUS. Because it is difficult to expect that Bakir and the SDA have not calculated how much they have given to political opponents because of Sebija and how it was received by the public.

At the same time, it is hard to believe that there are no normal people in the SDA's voter base who will not punish the SDA and the Izetbegović family for the Nadin case, but also for numerous other cases.

So, the second dilemma - can Izetbegović win the 2022 BiH Presidency elections? The answer is emerging, but we will leave more room for it to unfold.

There is no third dilemma. Šefik Džaferović, the proverbial obedient servant of the largest Bosnian-Herzegovinian oligarchy, has resigned himself to the role of a pawn since entering the BiH Presidency.

That is why his "exclusive" announcement that he will not run again for the Presidency sounded somewhat comical. As if he had run for the first time on his own initiative.

We will not comment on his effectiveness and actions, as it would be somewhat distasteful.

But we can confidently say that the SDA will have Bakir after Bakir as a candidate. What was in between was just filling a seat.

However, the million-dollar question for the healthy part of the SDA leadership, membership, and sympathizers is: "Is it time to stop the Izetbegovićs?"

And I think it is high time for that healthy part to join forces and loudly say enough is enough. Because the price of their silence will be paid not only by the SDA but by the entire country.

For the SDA, more or less, but the burden of destroying the country is a huge one. Those who destroy the system and the country are always judged publicly, and then everything comes to light.
