Don't Forget Srebrenica: Photo Exhibition by Ramo Abidović

As part of the cultural and entertainment event "Kalesijsko ljeto", the Bosniak Cultural Center Alija Izetbegović is organizing a photo exhibition on Wednesday, July 8th, starting at 1:30 PM, to mark the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, reports the Patria News Agency.

The author of the photographs is journalist Ramo Abidović, who has been following events in and around Srebrenica for years and who has walked to Potočari multiple times to take some of the photos that will be displayed at the exhibition.

- With this exhibition, I want to show my fellow citizens that they must never forget Srebrenica, that they should remember, and that younger generations should learn about the genocide that happened there in July 1995 before the eyes of the UN. I could have been in those graves in Potočari, and my family too, because we were also expelled from Srebrenica in July 1995, says Abidović.

Otherwise, Ramo Abidović also premiered his documentary film "The Road of No Return" at the BKC three years ago, which speaks about the suffering of the people of Srebrenica and features survivors who "reached" freedom through the forests.
