THEY DO NOT REVEAL NAMES OF PERSONS AND INSTITUTIONS: Nine fake diplomas in the Indirect Taxation Authority

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Indirect Taxation Authority continuously verifies the authenticity of all diplomas of employees and so far nine irregularities have been found through checks, they state from this institution in response to MP of Our Party Mirjana Marinković-Lepić.

However, the ITA did not want to provide the names of persons with fake diplomas nor did they provide the names of educational institutions. They cited the Law on Personal Data Protection.

„For two diplomas issued by a higher education institution abroad, after checks it was determined that they were issued by a higher education institution that is not registered in the register of higher education institutions, nor is it licensed and accredited in the country of verification, and that the form of the diploma sent for verification does not correspond to the form of higher education qualifications issued in the country of verification. For one diploma, after checks it was determined that it was issued by an educational institution that never existed!

For five diplomas, it was determined that the competent authority annulled, under the right of supervision, the decision by which it was recognized as a foreign document and ordered the annulment of the diploma of the higher education institution in BiH, where a foreign diploma was submitted upon enrollment in the study program. 

For five diplomas, it was determined that they were not issued by the educational institutions stated on them“, they say from the ITA.

They further claim that the ITA has taken all legally prescribed actions in these cases.
