Željezničar fans in action for the club: 150,000 calls to number 17045 in ten days

(Patria) - FK Željezničar fans, the popular Manijaci, reached an agreement with the club yesterday regarding general sponsorship, with the goal of raising 300,000 KM in ten days. The new jerseys already feature the fan group's logo. 

A special number has been opened for this purpose - 17045, and a call costs 2 KM. The Manijaci have stated that they want to collect 300,000 KM, and if the initial reactions from Željo's fans are any indication, they might easily exceed the projected 150,000 calls.

The initiative was also supported by Edin Džeko, captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team, who started his career at Grbavica. Džeko shared a photo on his Facebook profile with the phone number to join the Manijaci's campaign.

The captain of the Blues, Aleksandar Kosorić, had special words of praise for the Željezničar fans.

“I would like to thank the fan representatives as well as all other fans who initiated this campaign. It will surely be successful, I don't doubt it for a moment. Every time they undertake an initiative, we think it's the maximum, but then they surprise us with a new one and push the boundaries,” said Kosorić.

Željezničar fans have shown their love for the club on multiple occasions. They have raised money for the construction of the east stand, followed their team to all away games, and organized a spectacular fireworks display for Željezničar's 100th birthday, unlike anything seen in this region. There is no doubt that the Manijaci and all those who love Željezničar will contribute 2 KM and help the club overcome its financial problems.
