Fenerbahçe fans apologize to Bosniaks: We were deceived, we feel great pain of the Srebrenica genocide

(Patria) - The Fenerbahçe fan association in Gelsenkirchen issued a public statement today with a message of apology to "Bosniak brothers" because on October 24 they allowed the screening of a film by Boris Malagurski that denies the genocide in Srebrenica. Last night, the film was shown at the Fenerbahçe association in Dortmund. 

"On October 22, 2022, a person came to our association and stated that they wanted to rent our club for one day. Our association had previously rented its hall to various associations and individuals who wished to use it for social purposes. We asked the person who came to our association on October 22 and wanted to rent our hall on October 24 for what purpose they wanted to rent it, and the person said they would hold a gathering in the hall and never stated that this terrible film would be shown," they stated from this association.

They added that they "feel great pain of the Srebrenica genocide."

"Fenerbahçe has always stood by the oppressed around the world since its founding. Bosnia and the Bosnian people have a special place in the hearts of all Fenerbahçe fans. Unknowingly, we contributed to wounding our Bosniak brothers. This deeply saddened us. We apologize to the citizens and emphasize that we, as millions of Fenerbahçe fans, are their fans until the end. On this occasion, we condemn the genocide in Srebrenica and mercifully commemorate our martyrs," they stated from the association.

Boris Malagurski boasted on social media that the film "Republika Srpska: The Struggle for Freedom" was shown at the Turkish association in Dortmund. 

Checks confirmed that it was the premises of the Fenerbahçe fan association, which issued an apology today.
