SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Brigadier General William Edwards, Commander of NATO HQ Sarajevo, met today with the Chief of the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Senad Mašović. The meeting discussed current activities and the continuation of cooperation on partnership activities between NATO HQ Sarajevo and the Armed Forces of BiH.
General Edwards expressed satisfaction with the final adoption of amendments to the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH Institutions in both houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which will ensure an improvement in the status of soldiers and non-commissioned officers in the Armed Forces of BiH. The salary increase is a support to the valuable soldiers of the BiH Armed Forces who work to make Bosnia and Herzegovina safer and more stable.
NATO HQ Sarajevo stands ready to provide support to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and remains committed to our partnership with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
