SARAJEVO, (Patria) - In order to provide assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina in its efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, NATO and the United States Army today delivered another donation to BiH citizens.
This donation is in response to a recent request made by the Coordination Body of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Protection and Rescue to the NATO Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre.
Representatives of NATO and the US Army, in the presence of the Assistant Minister of Security of BiH Samir Rizvo, today in Sarajevo handed over much-needed supplies to the ministries of internal affairs of the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska. This donation will help emergency services continue to perform their key task of protecting the most vulnerable citizens, regardless of which part of BiH they are from.
Today's shipment is one of several continuous donations that NATO allies are providing to BiH citizens in response to the country's request for assistance. In BiH and around the world, NATO allies and partners continue to stand by each other and provide assistance during this pandemic, whether through various NATO arrangements, bilateral aid, or by providing support to countries and their efforts in the field of civil protection.
