Doboja's endangerment by floods continues, urgent reaction requested

(Patria) - The group of citizens 'Let May 2014 not happen again' has reported to the Waters of RS, the water inspection, and the prosecutor's office the depositing of materials along the course of the Bosna River in Pločnik, as well as constructed facilities for gravel separation and concrete production in the immediate vicinity.

The mentioned depositing of materials and construction of facilities are prohibited by the provisions of Articles 3, 104, and 105 of the Water Law, as they reduce water flow during high water levels and affect the endangerment of Doboj and other areas by floods.

The Waters of RS, the water inspection, and the Public Prosecutor's Office of RS are expected to stop tolerating the depositing of materials and the construction of facilities along the course of the Bosna River, to sanction those responsible, and to ensure the removal of the deposited materials and illegally constructed facilities.
