Search for second worker of Turkish company 'Cengiz Insaat' continues

(Patria) - Members of the Federal Special Unit for Rescue on and Under Water (FUCZ), divided into two teams with boats and necessary equipment, continued the search this morning for the second worker of the Turkish company "Cengiz Insaat" who, along with another worker, fell into the swollen Bosna River on November 8th.

The body of one of the workers, a 43-year-old Turkish citizen, was found by rescuers in the Bosna River on November 11th, and the search for the second missing man continues.
The teams will search the left and right banks of the Bosna River, and today's search will cover the area downstream from the accident site towards Žepče.

A team from the Public Security Department of the Brčko District of BiH, equipped with a sonar adapted for this type of river, will join today's search, and a part of the divers from the Federal Special Unit for Underwater Rescue (FUCZ) will also be on standby in the search zone today in case the sonar identifies outlines in the water that could indicate the body of the deceased worker is there.

In addition to FUCZ and the team from the Public Security Department of the Brčko District of BiH, members of the Civil Protection of the Žepče Police Department, members of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority - AFAD from Turkey, and workers of the company "Cengiz Insaat" are also involved in the search today, assisting in the search.

Although the drop in water levels has created conditions for better visual inspection and the possibility of a more detailed search, the search is hampered by cold weather, cold and murky water, and large accumulations of debris along the banks and in the riverbed of the Bosna River.
