Operation 'Meta' Continues, 32 People Linked to Drugs Arrested

Police teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) are conducting searches at 36 locations in the cities of Zenica, Visoko, Mostar, and Široki Brijeg as part of the implementation of the operational action "Meta".

Acting on the orders of the municipal courts in Visoko and Zenica, in the continuation of the operational action "Meta", in the early morning hours, police teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton began simultaneous searches at 33 locations in Visoko, four locations in Zenica, one location in Mostar, and one in Široki Brijeg.

Activities within the framework of the "Meta" action are being undertaken under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, in cooperation with the Federal Police Administration and with the technical support of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).

"Searches of facilities and persons at the mentioned locations are being carried out with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that can serve as evidence in further proceedings, as well as locating and arresting 32 persons who are the targets of the action, and who are suspected of committing several criminal offenses within the scope of the criminal offenses of 'Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs', 'Possession and Enabling of Narcotic Drug Use', 'Disclosure of Official Secrets', 'Forgery of Documents', 'Illegal Possession of Weapons or Explosive Materials', and criminal offenses from Article 52 of the Law on the Acquisition, Possession, and Carrying of Weapons and Ammunition in the Zenica-Doboj Canton", stated the MUP of ZDK.

We remind you that in March of this year, within the framework of this extensive operation, Mahir Očuz, his wife Džejla Glavović-Očuz, Refik Kurgaš, and a police officer were detained for trafficking cannabis oil.
