Temporary financing continues, Dodik still not scheduling session for Budget adoption

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The BiH Council of Ministers will adopt a decision on temporary financing of institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and international obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period July - September 2021 at tomorrow's session, based on the proposal of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, given that the Budget of BiH institutions and international obligations for 2021 has not yet been adopted. The Budget is with the BiH Presidency, and the Chairperson Milorad Dodik has never scheduled a session for the Budget to be adopted and forwarded for further adoption in both houses of the BiH Parliament.

At the session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament on June 15, the Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija stated that "he does not think anyone is blocking the adoption of the budget, but rather that there are different views on allocating funds for the recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and salaries of employees in BiH institutions."

Also on the agenda is granting consent for the renewal of positions in the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have been warning authorities for years about a shortage of necessary staff, especially for laboratory needs.

The BiH Council of Ministers will consider the Proposal of the Decision on supplementing the Decision on appointing the Expert Team for monitoring the situation and activities related to the issue of radioactive waste disposal and spent nuclear fuel at the Trgovska Gora site, given that the decision was not adopted at the previous session.

On the agenda is also the Proposal of the Decision on appointing members of the Committee for Appeals of Police Officers, proposed by the Ministry of Security of BiH.

The BiH Council of Ministers will also consider a Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by the Ministry of Justice of BiH.
