Continuation of Cooperation: EUFOR Commander Visited the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH

Newly appointed EUFOR Commander Major General Friedrich Schrotter visited the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH today, where he met with the Director of the Directorate, Mirsad Vilić, and his Deputy Uroš Pena, it was announced from the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, reports the Patria News Agency.

Director Vilić informed the guest about the responsibilities and organizational structure of the Directorate, as well as the role it plays in the security sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Activities undertaken and continuously implemented by the Directorate to build its capacities, reflected in the procurement of material-technical resources and the organization of training for police officers, were presented.

In accordance with its legal responsibilities, the Directorate maintains continuous cooperation with EUFOR in BiH, which relates to the exchange of security-relevant information, i.e., announcements and notifications regarding EUFOR activities carried out in BiH.

Major General Schrotter expressed his conviction that the previously successful cooperation and communication with the Directorate will continue in the future. He emphasized EUFOR's readiness in BiH to participate in preserving a safe environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina in accordance with its mission, the statement said.
