Continuation of regular road maintenance in Centar

During the past period, workers of the construction company „Grakop“ completed works at several locations in the central Sarajevo municipality, carried out under a contract with the Centar Municipality for the construction, reconstruction, and regular maintenance of local and uncategorized roads in the Centar area in 2016. The contract for regular road maintenance in Centar was signed by the Municipal Mayor Dževad Bećirević, as the investor, and Šukrija Melezović, director of the company „Grakop“, on behalf of the contractor. For this purpose, 55,051 KM was allocated from the Centar Municipality budget, reports the Patria agency.

Specifically, based on the signed contract for performing works on regular maintenance of streets in the Centar municipality area, damages were repaired on roads near the Koševo stadium, in the settlement of Nahorevo, Nahorevska brda, and in the streets Debelj and Svetozara Ćorovića. Additionally, with the aim of improving traffic safety, workers installed new traffic mirrors in Hasana Bibera Street at number 105, Nahorevska Street at number 72, and Soukbunar 53. On the road strip of Nahorevska Street-Nahorevo, branch trimming and grass mowing were carried out, along with the repair of a damaged fence in Nahorevska Street up to number 72, while in the settlement of Nahorevo, a part of the stream along the road was piped at numbers 62 and 82, and near the mosque in Nahorevo.

Based on the contract, the space for containers was also repaired in Fadila Jahića Španca Street at five locations and in Jukićeva Street at thirteen locations. Workers of „Grakop“ installed traffic calming devices and vertical traffic signage in Kalemova Street, near the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, and in Hasana Bibera Street.

In the Municipality's budget for this year, 1,630,000 KM is planned for the construction, reconstruction, repair, and regular maintenance of local roads, and 910,000 KM for uncategorized roads.
