(Patria) - Members of the Federal Police Administration, acting on the order of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, are again conducting a search in the building of the Stari Grad Municipality.
It is a continuation of Operation Start, confirmed FUP spokesperson Emil Sućeska.
More information will be known after the completion of the activities.
We recall, Operation Start was carried out in early May when the now former mayor of Stari Grad Municipality Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, municipal secretary Alma Destanović, as well as Ibrahim Hadžibajrić's son Seid Hadžibajrić and several other persons were arrested.
The case against Hadžibajrić and Destanović is being handled by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, while the case against Seid Hadžibajrić and others is being handled by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Hadžibajrić is charged with abuse of office, accepting and giving gifts, and money laundering. Incidentally, Hadžibajrić was recalled from the position of mayor in a referendum held on July 23. Data on criminal activities were obtained by decrypting the Sky application.
The Agency for Management of Seized Assets of the FBiH has already taken over several parking lots in the area of Stari Grad whose lease was disputed.
