Operation Postman continues: Another person arrested, money and explosive devices seized

In the continuation of the international operation Postman, which the Prosecutor's Office of BiH is conducting in cooperation with the judiciary and police of Austria, at the border crossing in Brčko, upon entry into BiH, another suspect, a citizen of BiH and Croatia, was arrested, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH announced, as reported by the Patria news agency.

Based on a request from the police and judicial authorities of BiH, under the supervision of investigators from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, a search of the house and facilities used by the said suspect was carried out in the territory of Croatia.

During the search, money in the amount of over 50,000 euros, in various currencies, was found, as well as two M52 military bombs and 600 grams of plastic explosives, along with 5 detonator caps.

Given that the aforementioned explosives are used for preparing explosive devices for committing the most serious criminal offenses, and that there is suspicion that the found money originates from the commission of criminal acts, all circumstances regarding the intended use of the explosives and the suspect's connection with individuals from the criminal milieu in BiH, Croatia, and Austria will be determined in the continuation of the investigation.

The operation codenamed Postman is an international operation conducted in the fight against organized crime and drug and arms smuggling, in which, several days ago, 5 suspects were arrested, 3 in BiH and 2 in the territory of Austria.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH thanks colleagues from the police and judiciary of Croatia for their assistance and cooperation in working on this case, the statement reads.
