Continuation of Operation Kasa: Six Metropolis employees arrested

SARAJevo, (Patria) - In the continuation of the "Kasa" operation, in which well-known Sarajevo restaurateurs were arrested for tax evasion and admitted to committing the criminal offense, six employees of Metropolis were arrested today, confirmed by the KS Prosecutor's Office.

The employees were deprived of their liberty by SIPA to prevent obstruction of justice and giving false testimony.

"After criminal processing, they will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the KS Prosecutor's Office," said Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the KS Prosecutor's Office.

The Municipal Court in Sarajevo ordered a one-month detention on March 25, 2019, for Oleg Krautblatt and Ines Juretić, suspected of computer fraud in the "Kasa" case. They were ordered into custody due to the risk of flight, influencing witnesses, concealing evidence, and repeating the criminal offense. Kraublatt and Juretić are suspected of selling special software called "Inspirit Gastro" to catering facilities throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity, which enabled restaurateurs to evade taxes by falsifying fiscal receipts.

Prohibitory measures were imposed on five suspects: Nedžad Rašidagić (Metropolis), Edin Vreto (Kibe Mahala), Željko Ljubas (Luka), Nejra Ibrić (Montana), and Šaćir Čedić (Vatra), which include a ban on managing businesses, meeting with suspects, witnesses, i.e., waiters, and a ban on approaching the facilities.

Prohibitory measures were also requested for the suspect Bakir Hadžić, owner of the restaurant Una.
