Bulevar settlement: One person killed, another taken to KCUS

(Patria) - In the afternoon hours in the Bulevar settlement in Stup, a shooting occurred in which one person died. One person was transported to KCUS.

Mersiha Novalić, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, confirmed for Patria that a shooting occurred and that police teams are on the ground.

Nihad Aličković, an eyewitness to the shooting, posted on the social network Facebook.

"Two of them, on bicycles in black tracksuits and hoodies, with medical masks on their faces. They fired bursts from a bag so that casings wouldn't remain on the street. He was killed in front of a grocery store where there were 10 people, and I can't get over the fact that no one else was killed or hit. I'm not interested in the reasons or the aftermath. I just know this is madness, that the city has become a hotbed of everything and anything, and who knows what else," he stated in his post.

A greater tragedy was avoided by sheer luck, as surrounding buildings were also hit and bullet holes are visible.

Police are searching for the attackers.
