Our Party Sarajevo: New Assembly majority is taking revenge on citizens by blocking the budget

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After the new majority in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly (SDA, SBB, and DF) failed to include their request for the dismissal of the KS Government on the session's agenda, they interrupted the session.

The Sarajevo Cantonal Committee of Our Party reacted to this.

"Today, the representatives of SDA, SBB, and DF did not want to vote for the agenda solely because their request for the dismissal of the KS Government was not on it, as it was not submitted in accordance with the valid procedures. We remind you that the budget of Sarajevo Canton was supposed to be discussed at today's session. Its adoption was necessary before New Year's so that the Canton could function smoothly. Thanks to the new assembly majority, the Canton will be blocked, which means a blockade of salary payments, scholarships, incentives, projects, in short, everything that allows citizens to live undisturbed," said Our Party.

They add that SDA, SBB, and DF "resort to a demonstration of force towards their political opponents, but also towards the citizens."

"Due to the enormous support of citizens for the government of Prime Minister Edin Forto, the new majority is also resentful of them, of the people whose government they want to be. This once again justifies the citizens' dissatisfaction with the dismissal of the current Government. The new majority fears every day they are not in power because each of those days will serve to expose their decades-long crime. The Sarajevo Cantonal Committee of Our Party gives full support to Prime Minister Edin Forto and the Government he leads, so that as long as they are in power, they make citizens' lives better every day and expose the crime they encountered upon coming to power," the statement said.
