SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On the occasion of the upcoming Kurban-bayram, which Muslims around the world will begin to celebrate from Tuesday, July 20, 2021, the Management of the "Stari Grad" Soup Kitchen informs donors of qurban meat that due to high temperatures and the inability to properly store all donated meat in the premises of the Soup Kitchen at Halači 6 Street, and upon the recommendation of the veterinary and sanitary inspection, all donors can deliver their qurban meat to the cold storage of the "Gora" butcher shop, which is located next to the main road in Semizovac.
The Soup Kitchen reminds that qurban meat can only be donated with an attached certificate of the animal's health status, which must be provided by the qurban sellers. It is recommended that the qurban not be cut into pieces for easier storage and distribution to the users of the Soup Kitchen, which will begin on the second day of Kurban-bayram, July 21, in front of the "Stari Grad" Soup Kitchen in Baščaršija from 8 AM.
The collected meat will be adequately stored and used long-term for preparing higher quality meals in this public kitchen.
