New verdicts for fighting in Syria next week

(Patria) - Next week, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will deliver a verdict for Jasmin Keserović, accused of fighting in Syria.

The verdict for Keserović is scheduled for Thursday, February 25. The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges him with joining foreign formations and inciting terrorist activities.

Due to fighting in Syria, trials for Milarem Berbić and Hamza Labidi will also continue next week, with a hearing scheduled for reviewing the guilt admission agreement, also for Thursday.

Next week, the trial of the Prime Minister of the Federation, Fadil Novalić, and others in the "Respirators" case will begin before the Court of BiH for association to commit abuse of office, accepting rewards for trading influence, money laundering, and document forgery.

The trial of Novalić, Fahrudin Solak, suspended director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, Fikret Hodžić, director of the company "F.H. Srebrena malina", and Jelka Milićević, Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation and Federal Minister of Finance, will begin on Wednesday, February 24.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH charges Novalić, Solak, and Hodžić with association to commit criminal offenses of "abuse of office or authority, accepting rewards or other benefits for trading influence, money laundering, forgery or destruction of business or accounting books or documents, forgery of an official document, and violation of the obligation to keep business or accounting books and prepare financial reports and their falsification or destruction", and Milićević for negligent work in office.

Next week, three members of the Ravna Gora Movement accused of inciting national, racial, and religious hatred, discord, and intolerance in the area of Višegrad and its surroundings in March 2019 will enter their pleas before the Court of BiH.

Dušan Sladojević, known as "Krvce" and "Čiča", Slavko Aleksić, known as "Vojvoda", and Risto Lečić will enter their pleas on Monday, February 22.

The prosecution charges Sladojević, Aleksić, and Lečić that on March 10, 2019, they participated in a gathering organized by the "Ravna Gora Movement of the Serb Homeland" Višegrad, at the Square of Fallen Fighters in Višegrad, and later at the Dobrunska Rijeka site, known as "Draževina".

Next week, the continuation of trials for war crimes is also planned.

The defense of Simo Stupar and Zoran Tešić, accused of crimes against humanity committed against the Bosniak population in the Vlasenica area, will present their closing arguments on Wednesday, February 24.
