
(Patria) - The cargo ship Euphoria, sailing under the Panamanian flag, was attacked this morning in the Gulf. The vessel is owned by a company based in the United Arab Emirates.
According to reports from the UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre and Vanguard, the ship was fired upon eight nautical miles west of Iran at 6:38 AM UTC. The captain stopped the vessel, and the crew is safe with no reported damage to the ship.
Vessel tracking data from Kpler shows that Euphoria entered the strait at 1:10 AM UTC, with Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, listed as its destination. This is the second ship fired upon in the Gulf this morning. It was previously reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard fired on a Greek-owned ship.
