(Patria) - Even after a ceasefire was declared, attacks on US allies in the Persian Gulf continued.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates stated in a release that the country is "currently facing missile attacks and incoming drones from Iran," the BBC reported after US and Iranian officials confirmed they had reached an agreement.
Air defence systems are intercepting the missiles, the statement said.
Saudi Arabia announced that emergency warnings had been activated in the eastern part of the country, including Riyadh, indicating a "potential danger," and residents were advised to take shelter.
A few minutes after Trump posted a message on social media, the Israeli military said that missiles fired from Iran towards Israel had been identified, and missile warnings were sent to people's mobile phones, the BBC reported.
Shortly after, sirens sounded in Jerusalem. Then two explosions were heard, which could be felt where the BBC correspondent in that city was located. The warning then stopped.
About thirty minutes later, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that more missiles fired from Iran towards Israel had been identified. Explosions were heard again in Jerusalem, the BBC reported, adding that another such incident, the third in a row, had occurred.
