Attacker of returnees in Višegrad has a significant police record, previously attacked elderly people

(Patria) - Police in Višegrad have arrested Bojan Prodan for the brutal attack on spouses Ajša and Fadil Memišević from the village of Omeragići near Višegrad. He was arrested last night, and the public was only informed today. 

Prodan is already known to the police for a series of criminal offenses. Among other things, in 2008 he committed the criminal offense of robbery, which resulted in the death of a 73-year-old. When the police revoked his driver's license in 2021, he directed brutal threats at the officers. 

Let us remind you that a criminal investigation is underway against the arrested suspect, and certain criminal investigation measures and actions are being taken to document and clarify the robbery, all under the supervision of the District Public Prosecutor's Office of East Sarajevo.

Due to the severe injuries they sustained in the attack, the Memišević couple has been admitted for treatment at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo (KCUS).

Only after the police announced that Prodan had been arrested did Željka Cvijanović issue a statement, characterizing this criminal offense as robbery.
