Armed to the Teeth: D.A. Arrested on Suspicion of Illegal Possession of Weapons

Last night, at two hours and 25 minutes past midnight, police officers of the First Police Station deprived D.A. (born 1982) of his liberty on grounds of reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons or explosive devices, reports the Patria news agency.

- During a personal search of the named individual, police officers found and seized a pistol of the Crvena zastava brand, caliber 9 mm, with its accompanying magazine and five rounds of ammunition, and during a search of the house used by D.A., an automatic rifle of caliber 7.62 mm with its accompanying magazine and 20 rounds was found – said the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton.

The duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office was informed of the above, and the deprived person was handed over to the premises of the Department for Detention of Deprived Persons of the Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton.
