After months on the run: Darko Jeremić, suspect in "Bobar banka" case, arrested

Based on a warrant issued at the request of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Darko Jeremić (1975) was arrested at the border crossing between Serbia and BiH, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced, reports the Patria News Agency.

 

The suspect will be handed over to the acting prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in the coming hours, who will question the suspect and make a decision on further activities.

Darko Jeremić is one of the key suspects in this complex case of organized crime and financial crime, which is the most extensive case in this area in post-Dayton BiH (damage of approximately 280 million KM).

The BiH Prosecutor's Office is working intensively on the Bobar banka case, the investigation is in its final phase, and a prosecutorial decision will be made in the coming period.

Also, the BiH Prosecutor's Office once again emphasizes that it acts in accordance with the law and the highest professional standards and decisively rejects any political pressure coming from the Minister of Security of BiH, in this and all other cases it is working on, and such pressures can be considered obstruction of justice, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced.
