Two persons arrested after raid on Radio Sarajevo newsroom

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Two persons were arrested on Friday evening after a raid on the newsroom of the portal Radio Sarajevo, confirmed the Minister of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton Admir Katica during a visit to the newsroom. He was accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto and the Minister of Communal Economy Srđan Mandić.

Katica confirmed that the two individuals, born in 1990 and 1991, will undergo criminal processing and will then be handed over to the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office for further action.

The raid by hooligans who presented themselves as fans of FK Sarajevo, the holding of the editor and journalists of that portal as hostages, and death threats were condemned by all media in Bosnia and Herzegovina, institutions, and embassies.

The Association of Journalists of Bosnia and Herzegovina also condemned this raid, calling on the competent authorities to conduct a swift investigation and sanction the perpetrators.
