After killing his ex-wife, killer Tarik Prusac arrested while eating ćevapi with kidnapped daughter in Baščaršija

(Patria) - Tarik Prusac, who today killed his ex-wife in the Sarajevo settlement of Dobrinja and kidnapped their minor child, was arrested this evening in the municipality of Stari Grad.

"At 7:15 PM, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton deprived a man T.P. (born 1977) of his liberty on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of murder. The 49-year-old was apprehended in the municipality of Stari Grad," announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton.

As Istraga.ba has learned, he was arrested in one of the most famous ćevapi restaurants in Baščaršija.

Prusac had parked his car in Dariva, but then returned to the Čaršija when he saw police officers near Dariva.

Surveillance cameras also recorded him near Vijećnica.

To avoid the police and calm the girl he had kidnapped, Prusac blended into the crowd in Baščaršija and went to a ćevapi restaurant where he sat down and ordered food.

Due to the crowd, the police had to carefully plan the arrest operation so as not to endanger the kidnapped child, as well as the numerous tourists who were near the restaurant at that moment.

No one was injured during the arrest operation.

As a reminder, the murder occurred this afternoon in Omladinskih radnih brigada street in Dobrinja.

After killing the 41-year-old woman with a firearm, he kidnapped the girl and fled the crime scene.

Police located his car in Dariva, and he was apprehended shortly thereafter.

According to unconfirmed information, the victim of the murder is Sarajevo journalist Elma Godinjak.

As Istraga.ba unofficially learns, Prusac had been threatening Godinjak, from whom he divorced a few months ago, after which he received a court order prohibiting him from approaching his ex-wife.

Unfortunately, this did not stop him from carrying out the crime.

Numerous members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton are still present at the murder scene in the Dobrinja settlement, as well as in Stari Grad, conducting investigations.
