When the parties of the "Trojka" and their leaders Nermin Nikšić, Elmedin Konaković, and Edin Forto sent a public call to the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Milanko Kajganić, two days ago, to investigate certain employments, the "buying" of delegates, and abuses of public services, the offer received by the SDP president Nermin Nikšić to enable the Party of Democratic Action to enter power was not mentioned.
Last Friday, while a guest on Face TV, Nikšić stated that offers have been ongoing since "the elections until today," that he was offered the prime minister position, and millions of convertible marks from people within public enterprise structures.
"From the elections until today. It's no secret, we all know and talk about it amongst ourselves. We haven't broken up only because we won't let any of us be led onto such thin ice," said Nikšić, confirming that he was offered the prime minister position, "interesting figures," "millions."
Nikšić emphasized that it was not about Bakir Izetbegović, the president of SDA, but about other individuals.
"I'm talking about people who are still part of certain structures in public enterprises and who bought these delegate votes. I nip that story in the bud, but there's talk of huge sums of money," said Nikšić.
Even if that were the case, Nikšić had a duty to report bribery, pressure, threats, or whatever was in "those offers" to the investigative bodies.
If he fails to do so, Nikšić himself will show that he does not respect the rule of law, while on the other hand, he expects the BiH Prosecutor's Office to take action in other cases.
If the leader of a political party hides from investigative bodies that someone offered them a bribe, presumably with public company funds, then the question arises whether Nikšić himself has committed a criminal offense. Did he knowingly conceal those who abuse their official position in public enterprises?
If he does not report those who "tried to buy him," why should we believe Nikšić is honest when he enters power and when his party and others with whom he is in coalition control large sums of money. In our society, it is said that people shy away from someone who claims to be honest. Thus, in this case as well, Nermin Nikšić has both a moral and legal obligation to report those who offered him millions, positions, and whatever else. Any other course of action implies he is not telling the truth.
The "Trojka" called on Kajganić to inform the public about the actions the State Prosecutor's Office is taking regarding individuals sanctioned by the US for criminal, corrupt activities, and for undermining the legal order. We hope they also meant Mirsad Kukić, Marinko Čavara, Nikola Špirić, Milorad Dodik, Alen Šeranić here...
"The "Trojka" calls on Mr. Kajganić to immediately take measures to investigate the circumstances of the employment in OSA of the daughter of a delegate from the Bosnians-Podrinje Canton. We remind that the political defection and vote of the mentioned delegate were crucial for securing the SDA majority in the Bosniak Club of the House of Peoples of the FBiH, i.e., for the election of Refik Lendo as the Vice President of the FBiH. We also demand that the circumstances under which other political defectors suddenly came under the wing of the SDA be investigated, thanks to methods described in detail in the US government's decision to impose sanctions.
We believe that such obvious manipulations and abuses of public services must be sanctioned, and the consequences of criminal actions rectified. We also demand a thorough investigation into the role of BH Telecom's management in the mentioned actions, and to shed light on the extent of the usurpation and abuse of this public enterprise in numerous cases where its dark role in preserving the regime is mentioned.
We expect Mr. Kajganić to give priority attention to investigating these cases and collecting evidence of corruption in political circles and public institutions for the purpose of maintaining one party in power. It is evident that the evidence exists, it is only a matter for the competent institutions to request it, collect it, and take necessary measures against the perpetrators of this silent coup and the hijacking of voter will," stated the "Trojka."
This is all the more reason for Nikšić to assist the judicial institutions in prosecuting those who abused their positions, institutions, and public funds to convince him to enter into power with the SDA.
Following the publicly stated claims that these activities have been ongoing since "the elections until today," Nikšić could receive a call from the BiH Prosecutor's Office to present his knowledge and evidence regarding these offers.
