The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina convicted three former members of the Army of BiH for crimes in the village of Trusina near Konjic. Nihad Bojadžić was sentenced to 15, Nedžad Hodžić to 12, and Mensur Memić to ten years in prison, reports the Patria news agency.
Dževad Salčin and Senad Hakalović were acquitted due to lack of evidence. Their family was overjoyed today, especially Hakalović's mother, who came to follow the sentencing. Although the families did not want to comment on either the verdicts or the trial itself, Hakalović's mother, almost in tears, told Patria:
- From today, I am at peace. Justice has prevailed – Hakalović emphasized.
Senad himself received numerous congratulations in front of the Court building, and told a Patria reporter that everything had been said in court.
- Justice and truth have prevailed. I waited a long time, but justice is attainable – Hakalović emphasized.
Salčin, surrounded by family and friends, also left the Court building with satisfaction on his face.
