Russian President Vladimir Putin, after reconciling with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, signed a decree lifting sanctions related to the sale of tourist tours and charter flights to Turkey, and the resumption of these flights is expected very soon, writes Patria.
Turkey and Russia restored relations this week, which were damaged since November 2015, when Turkish fighter jets intercepted and then shot down a Russian Su-22 aircraft that violated Turkish airspace in the border area with Syria.
Putin then ordered sanctions on food products, the end of the visa-free regime, and called on Russian tourists not to vacation in Turkey.
