(Patria) - Billboards with the inscription "No to BiH in NATO!" appeared today in East Sarajevo. Similar billboards appear every now and then.
Just a few months ago, billboards with the inscription "No to NATO!" also appeared in two locations in East Sarajevo.
The Annual National Plan (ANP) was a stumbling block for the appointment of state-level authorities in BiH during 2019. The Serb member of the Presidency, Milorad Dodik, was against sending this document. The other two members of the collective head of state, Šefik Džaferović and Željko Komšić, conditioned the appointment of the new Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH on sending the Annual Action Plan to Brussels.
A compromise was reached when the BiH Presidency appointed Zoran Tegeltija of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) as the new Chairman of the Council of Ministers.
During the debate on the Budget for 2020, SDP BiH MP Saša Magazinović asked what was happening with the ANP and NATO, as it was not reflected in the budget, and stated that "The BiH Ministry of Defence is not doing well according to this budget."
The budget was ultimately not adopted due to the lack of the necessary majority from RS. Representatives of SNSD, as well as HDZ, were against it.
