AFTER UNNECESSARY FUSS Film 'Ten in a Half' Starts Showing at Cinestar

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After a regional tour where they greeted audiences in Zagreb (Croatia), Belgrade and Novi Sad (Serbia), and Kranj (Slovenia), the crew of Danis Tanović's comedy "Ten in a Half" also greeted the audience in Sarajevo, at a premiere screening at Cineplexx Sarajevo, where most of the film's cast gathered on Friday evening.

Izudin Bajrović, one of the main actors, emphasizes that this film was made for the audience.

"The film is made to appeal to ordinary people, a film about ordinary people that should appeal to ordinary people. The film is witty, fairy-tale-like, warm. I like to call it a fairy tale about Sarajevo," said Bajrović.

Despite initial difficulties in cinema distribution of this film throughout BiH, an agreement has been reached, and the film will be shown in all cinemas in BiH, stated the film's producer, Jovan Marjanović. We remind you that the cantonal authorities had accused Cinestar of deciding not to show the film because they did not have an economic rationale and could not agree on certain terms. However, as of December 2nd, this film is on the Cinestar cinema schedule.

"That's a big deal because that's what we made the film for - for the audience. We hope Danis Tanović's comedy will make this period more enjoyable for people. The film is fun and warm, something that can bring a dose of humor to these times, which are, after all, as they are - difficult. The film was shot in such times and directly refers to that period, we will all recognize ourselves in it. It is a film about friendship, family, and traditional values, told in a beautiful, human way," said Marjanović.

At the beginning of the screening at Cineplexx Sarajevo, Marjanović greeted the audience and thanked the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton and Minister Samir Avdić for their support of cinematography and this film, partners BH Telecom and Visit Sarajevo, who were partners of the regional promotion, and everyone who supported this film and helped make it happen.

Minister Avdić said that "Ten in a Half" is a great story and that the Government of Sarajevo Canton fully supports cinematography and everything related to art. "Thanks to incentives for the film industry, we will now be a space where our producers will be able to bring their colleagues from abroad and thus increase the volume of production in Sarajevo Canton," said Avdić.

"Ten in a Half" premiered at the 27th Sarajevo Film Festival, then at festivals in Turkey in Istanbul - Bosphorus Film Festival, in Doha, Qatar at the Ajyal Film Festival, Zagreb Film Festival, and the Festival of Author's Film (FAF) in Belgrade.

It was produced by Obala Art Center and Turkish Radio Television (TRT) with the support of BH Telecom and Visit Sarajevo. The regional cinema distributor of the film is the long-time partner of the Sarajevo Film Festival, Con film group, in cooperation with companies Art Vista and Oskar film.

The comedy "Ten in a Half" can be seen by the audience on the regular cinema schedule in BiH, the region, and in major European cities.
