After Ivanić and Inzko's accusations: Radmanović finally speaks about his signature for NATO

Behind the story of the High Representative, who unprovokedly mentioned a seven-year-old letter, lie much bigger things – Nebojša Radmanović responds to claims that it was precisely his signature that paved the way for BiH to the Alliance. Radmanović does not deny that he supported the request for the activation of the MAP when he was a member of the BiH Presidency, and he also explains why, reports the Patria News Agency.

“Statements that Nebojša Radmanović made the key moves there are not true. I remind you that we also said at the time, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska transferred powers in 2005, and those decisions of the National Assembly, signed by the then-president Stojičić on behalf of SDS, clearly speak of the commitment to permanent membership in NATO,” stated Nebojša Radmanović, former member of the BiH Presidency.

Radmanović believes it is not a coincidence that the story from 2009 was opened at a time when the population census, property registration, and many other issues are being discussed. While he believes that all of this is the work of the international community and the authorities in Sarajevo, the current member of the Presidency tells him that it would have been better if he had done something else.

“The funniest thing to me is when someone does something and then starts justifying it. They should say – yes, I signed it because I believed in it. He did it that way, we have an official act which is a request for the activation of the MAP, it’s better to say it like that, than to refer to something, and it’s even terrible when he lectures others along with it,” emphasized Mladen Ivanić, member of the BiH Presidency.

There has been much talk lately about who was lecturing whom on BiH's path to the Alliance. What should no longer be discussed is that, at least in Republika Srpska, the will of the citizens will be sought regarding the path to NATO.

It all started after the last session of the Peace Implementation Council. The further path of BiH to NATO was discussed, and the High Representative referred to the decisions of the Presidency from seven years ago, thus opening a discussion about which there is no consensus in BiH, and precisely because of this, Russia expressed a dissenting opinion at the session, ATV reports.
