Most severe situation in Zenica-Doboj Canton, M-17 road section impassable

Due to a major landslide on the roadway, traffic has been completely suspended on the M-17 main road section Žepče-Zenica in the village of Papratnica, announced by BIHAMK, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Also, due to a major landslide, traffic is moving in one lane with alternating vehicle passage on the R-413 regional road section Turbe-Banja Luka (at the Ugra location).

Traffic is still suspended on the M-18 main road section Dobro Polje-Miljevina. The alternative route is via Rogatica and Goražde.

On the M-4 section Simin Han-Kalesija (in the village of Babajići) and M-18 Tuzla-Bijeljina (in the village of Seljublje), traffic is suspended for freight vehicles over 3.5 tons. On the R-467 regional road Olovo-Ribnica, a traffic ban is in effect for vehicles over 12 tons.

In Sarajevo, due to the downpour, five buildings were flooded in Gladno Polje in the Ilidža municipality, said Fahrudin Solak, acting director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration. Civil Protection teams are on the ground. He said the most severe situation is in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, where landslides have occurred. In Željezno Polje, a torrential river washed away part of the road communication.

A severe storm hit Zenica, Mostar, Banja Luka, Bosanska Kostajnica, Višegrad, and Sarajevo today, and meteorologists forecast precipitation for tomorrow, with an orange meteoalarm issued.
