Catering workers earn the least, farmers earn average, energy sector earns the most

The average salary in this sector for May this year was 1,597 KM, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP). According to data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics, the average monthly salary in the Federation for May was 835 KM, and the highest was precisely in the sector of production and distribution of electricity and gas.

Workers in hospitality and catering jobs earn the least. The average monthly salary in May in this area was only 520 KM.

The research included legal entities of all ownership types, state government bodies at all levels, institutions, and other organizations. Salaries in crafts and liberal professions were not included. The research covered net and gross salaries paid to employees who have an employment relationship, regardless of the type of employment and working hours.

Based on this research, it can be concluded that those involved in the production or distribution of electricity or gas have the highest salaries, followed by workers in financial activities and those working in insurance companies, then employees in the telecommunications sector. The average salary of workers in the telecommunications sector for May this year was 1,233 KM.

Workers involved in agriculture, transport, education workers... have average monthly earnings. The average salary in the agricultural sector in May was 805 KM.

The lowest salaries in the Federation are earned by construction workers, hoteliers, caterers, traders... The lowest average salary paid in May this year was 520 KM, and it refers precisely to workers from the catering and hospitality sector, writes Patria.
