
(Patria) - At least eleven people were killed in a violent clash between suspected criminals in the town of Texcaltitlan in central Mexico, state security officials announced on Friday.
Eight of the deceased are suspected of being linked to criminal activities, according to a statement from the security ministry of the State of Mexico, adding that three of the victims were community members.

State police are working with the National Guard and other authorities to provide more details about the incident, the statement added.
Video shared by Mexican media on social networks shows a brawl between several dozen men as gunfire erupted off-camera, causing people to run for cover, Reuters reported.
