(Patria) - Israeli authorities are today tallying casualties and material damage following the most severe and deadliest attack by Iran to date.
According to Ynet, an Israeli portal, at least six people were killed in the attack on Bat Yam, including two children. Three people are listed as missing in that location.
In Gush Dan and Shfela, around 200 injuries have been reported, including at least six in serious condition. Several hours earlier, a projectile directly hit a house in Tamra in the north - four family members were killed on the spot, and 20 others were lightly injured.
The Weizmann Institute was also hit, and buildings were damaged. The New York Times reported that "laboratories caught fire."
Just before the night barrage, the IDF announced it had completed a broad wave of attacks in Tehran on the infrastructure of Iran's nuclear project, including the headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, the headquarters of SPND, and fuel depots. The IDF noted that the targets were linked to efforts to obtain nuclear weapons and that the attacks were carried out under intelligence guidance.
The Israeli military spokesman issued an evacuation warning to all Iranian citizens located near military
facilities.
The Houthis joined Iran's actions and targeted sites in Israel.
