The longest bus journey will last 56 days, and the package price is 23,000 euros

(Patria) - An Indian company specializing in unusual expeditions, "Adventures Overland," is organizing the world's longest bus journey.

It is a 56-day trip for 30 passengers that begins on August 7 in Istanbul and ends on October 1 in London.

The 12,000-kilometer journey will take passengers through 22 countries - from Istanbul via the Balkans and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, and Western Europe to the English capital, writes Punkufer.hr.

Although this package may not seem exceptionally attractive at first glance, "Adventures Overland" is organizing a luxury tour worth about two million Indian rupees, or just under 23,000 euros.

The luxury package includes breakfast, 30 lunches and dinners, and hotel accommodation during the trip in double rooms. The price also includes a ferry crossing in the Gulf of Finland, a visit to the North Cape, and a cruise on the Norwegian fjords.

"Adventures Overland" claims that passengers will travel in a special luxury bus designed for comfortable long-distance travel.

It is equipped with adjustable seats with ample legroom, a folding tray table, and holders for bottles and glasses. Each passenger is allowed to bring two large suitcases.

The longest bus journey from Istanbul to London is a variation of "Adventures Overland's" older package called "The Road to London" from 2021. It was originally intended to include a journey from India to the English capital, passing through countries like China, Myanmar, and Russia, which have since become closed for visits. That is precisely why the organizers decided to change the route.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, the title of the longest bus journey is currently held by the Peruvian company "Ormeño," which organizes "Trans Oceánica," a 6,200-kilometer journey between Lima, Peru, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The bus journey takes 102 hours, or just over four days.
