FBiH oil terminals lack funds for $4.5 million debt, expensive poor personnel solutions

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - FBiH oil terminals owe the company "Deltagrip Trading" from Great Britain compensation exceeding 4.5 million dollars, the High Commercial Court in Zagreb finally ruled on April 2nd this year.

 The contested verdict in point 1 of the ruling orders the defendant to compensate the plaintiff for damages in the amount of 4,186,230.47 USD, along with statutory default interest from May 25, 2009, to June 30, 2011, at the rate prescribed for other relations - the verdict states, which, according to the final calculation, amounts to more than 4.5 million dollars.

NTF is being sued for unilateral contract termination without legal basis, which caused damage to the British company. However, NTF does not have the money to pay the requested amount. The company "Operator - Terminali Federacije" (OTF) is trying to get involved in the whole story, which, according to NTF's opinion, should, with the prior consent of the FBiH Government, take out a loan and settle the debts according to the mentioned verdict.

The company "Deltagrip Trading" from Great Britain announced that it has received the verdict of the High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia, which partially granted their claim due to the termination of the contract with NTF, and that it was awarded damages of around nine million dollars.

Later, in the negotiation process between NTF and "Deltagrip", it was agreed that the company from Great Britain would waive part of its claims, and the amount of the verdict was reduced by almost 50 percent, which was also confirmed by the final verdict of the High Commercial Court in Zagreb.

At the head of NTF, a strategic company owned by FBiH worth over 700 million KM, is Josip Tomić. The media have already reported that Tomić was finally convicted in 2014 by the County Court in Dubrovnik for economic crime precisely within NTF.
