We hope the verdict will give families a sense that justice has been somewhat served

The US Embassy in Sarajevo considers today's verdict of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the case against Radovan Karadžić an important step towards establishing individual responsibility for the horrific suffering of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced by the Public Affairs Office of the US Embassy, as reported by the Patria news agency.

We hope that this will bring peace to the victims and their families and give them a sense that justice has been at least somewhat served.

We call on all parties to accept this verdict and once again turn to continued engagement on reconciliation and peaceful coexistence, which are necessary for the future of a stable, secure Bosnia and Herzegovina where the rights of all its citizens are protected, the statement reads.
