Mayor of Skender Vakuf had an accident, drove drunk

Mayor of Skender Vakuf Bore Škeljić was involved in a traffic accident while driving an official vehicle, a Škoda Octavia, reports the Patria news agency.

According to ATV's findings, the car driven by Mayor Škeljić went under a truck. Bore Škeljić, ATV learns, was under the influence of alcohol, and during the investigation it was established that he had more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his blood.

The municipal vehicle driven by Škeljić sustained significant material damage.

Bore Škeljić suffered minor injuries in the accident. During the investigation, he physically and verbally attacked members of the Skender Vakuf Police Station, after which he was taken into custody.

Mayor Škeljić confirmed to ATV that he had a traffic accident. As he said, he was at a meeting until late where some drinking occurred, and he was also tired.

"The truck crossed into my lane, and I had been drinking, and that's it," Škeljić said in a telephone conversation with ATV.

The police, Škeljić states, conducted an investigation, but he is certain that the truck crossed into his lane.
