Rudo Mayor Rato Rajak pays tribute to Bosniak victims killed in 1992

The Day of Remembrance for Bosniak victims of war crimes in Rudo was marked by dropping roses into the Lim River and laying flowers at the memorial in Stari Rudo.

Among the mourning column was Rato Rajak, the mayor of this municipality.

- I am grateful to the organizers of the gathering who enabled me to be with them, and to lay a wreath of flowers at the memorial to the Bosniaks of Rudo – Rajak told reporters.

– As mayor, I can send a message of understanding for others' pain and sorrow, and a message for a better life for our future generations – Rajak added.

During the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, 101 civilians were killed in Rudo, and more than 3,000 Bosniaks, as many as lived in this municipality until 1992, were expelled or deported, NAP reports.
