Ljubuški Mayor Warns That Police Are Behind Prostitution and Drugs

An investigation has been reopened by the Prosecutor's Office of the West Herzegovina Canton against Miroslav Galić, who was previously convicted with finality for serious criminal offenses committed while he was commander of the Posušje Police Station, reports Patria. 

In 2010, Galić was unlawfully appointed head of the Economic Crime Sector; in 2013, he again became commander of the Posušje Police Station; and as the culmination of all this, in 2015, the then Minister Zdravko Boras appointed him head of the Criminal Police Department of the Canton's Ministry of Interior.

It is claimed that Galić did not have a higher or high level of education for these positions. 

Due to numerous unlawful actions, the Prosecutor's Office of this Canton has opened investigative proceedings again against Željko Jukić, assistant minister in the Administration Sector; ministers Zdravko Boras; Zoran Galić, former director of the Canton's police, now director of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Željko Naletilić, secretary of the Ministry of Interior; Ingrid Miloš, current head of the personnel department; as well as Milenko Madunović, current acting director of the police of the West Herzegovina Canton.

That a lot is happening in this Canton and especially in the town of Ljubuški is confirmed by the shocking words of Mayor Nevenko Barbarić, who speaks about the breadth of criminal activities, from prostitution, drug dealing, smuggling of tobacco products and cars, and that individuals involved in crime have for many years had the protection of the Ministry of Interior of the West Herzegovina Canton.
