The entire world is on the side of true reconciliation, Russia alone is on the other side

The Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica was not adopted in the United Nations Security Council due to the veto cast by the Russian Federation, although 67% of the Security Council voted for the resolution, with 4 abstentions and one vote against.

The satisfaction lies in the fact that the vast majority of the world still calls history by its true name and that Russia's veto does not change the essence, which is that the Army and Police of Republika Srpska committed genocide in Srebrenica, according to the statement of the Party of BiH, signed by its president Amer Jerlagić, reports the Patria News Agency.  

-No one can erase this fact, and for us in BiH, it has been clear for 20 years. From today, no one in the world, except Serbia and Russia, will be able to deny this fact anymore. Today, in BiH, over 67% of citizens call the events in Srebrenica by their true name - genocide. So, who needs this realization?

It is primarily needed by the current and future generations in the smaller BiH entity and in Serbia, which will not be able to escape this nightmare in the future either. That nightmare, called the genocide in Srebrenica, will weigh on this country until a critical mass of Serbian citizens emerges who will have the strength to independently confront the past and the regime that has isolated them from the entire world. It will never be clear to me why Serbia is doing this to itself. To repeat, Serbia needs the realization that genocide happened in Srebrenica the most.

Citizens of Serbia who do not identify with murderers like Ratko Mladić and Radovan Karadžić, and citizens of BiH who expect genuine reconciliation with Serbia, should establish special support and cooperation with each other.

Reconciliation that will be established on facts, not on the false games of proven Greater Serbian nationalists who shot at Sarajevo, Aleksandar Vučić and Tomislav Nikolić.

I hope that no more BiH politicians will fall for such deceptions and transparent games after the arrest of Naser Orić and the lobbying against the adoption of the truth in the UN Security Council. I warned about this before, so I hope it is now completely clear who we are dealing with, both us and the honest citizens of Serbia.

Today's policy of Serbia is a policy of darkness and a return to the nineties. On the other hand, in BiH, it is time for all pro-Bosnian political options to overcome politicking and take a unified stance on this issue, which is that there is no true reconciliation without the recognition of genocide. Regardless of the vote in the UN, the fight for truth must never stop. That is a red line below which no one should go.

From today, the world will no longer be the same, because the entire world is on the side of true reconciliation. On the other side is Russia, due to its greater interests, and naive Serbia, which will eventually be left alone when Russia realizes its interests. Only the naive can believe in a different outcome, says Jerlagić.
