21 million KM available: More than 6,000 entrepreneurs applied for public calls in KS

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton announced public calls on April 30 for the implementation of 21 million KM in aid to mitigate the negative consequences of the pandemic in the economy.

The public calls closed on May 15, and the Ministry received more than 1,000 applications for the Public Call for approval of financing of related taxes and contributions on the minimum monthly net salary in FBiH for the period of the ban on business activities, and more than 5,000 applications for the Public Call for approval of financing of all or part of the minimum monthly net salary in FBiH for the months of March and April 2021.

"The expert team for data entry and processing of received applications has processed about 50% of the cases so far, and preliminary results of these Public Calls are expected within the next 15 days," stated the Minister of Economy Adnan Delić.

Minister Delić also addressed the issue related to the Public Call for subsidizing traditional crafts/trades, stating that the appeal period for these has ended today.

"We also note that as of today, the appeal period for the preliminary lists of the Public Call for support of traditional crafts/trades has ended, and that complaints received through the Canton's Protocol are being processed, the processing and analysis of which, according to current regulations, will take 15 days. We in the Ministry will strive to complete this even before the foreseen deadline. After that, a Decision will be made establishing the final List of artisans who have realized the right to incentive funds under this public call, and immediately thereafter, and no later than the first half of June, the funds will be paid into the accounts of the end users," explained Minister Delić.
