(Patria) - After a 13-year hiatus, the cult waiter race returned to the streets of Paris yesterday.
Waitresses and waiters carried a tray with a croissant, coffee, and a glass of water, over a distance of two kilometers as fast as possible, without running or spilling.
The competition was held in the narrow medieval streets of the Marais district.
The participants' competition brought fun and vibrancy to the city ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held this summer.
The race was first organized back in 1914.
