(Patria) - A minor aged 16 drowned on Monday afternoon at the well-known Pula beach Mornar, the Istrian police reported, adding that the deceased was a German national.
The police received a report of a sea accident in which a minor died around 3:50 PM, but the young man was pulled from the sea beforehand and resuscitation efforts began.
“Police are conducting an investigation at the scene,” said Nataša Rogić, spokesperson for the Istrian Police Administration.
It is unofficially known that divers searched for the 16-year-old for about fifteen minutes, and after he was found, his body was pulled from the sea by rescuers and divers, but resuscitation was unsuccessful, Hina reports.
The police have ordered an autopsy.
