On the same road where Hadžihafizbegović had an accident, Proeski and Lambaša died

On the same A3 motorway in Croatia, where actor Emir Hadžihafizbegović had a traffic accident last night, Dolores Lambaša, a Croatian actress, died almost on the same date last year, and six years ago, also in October, Macedonian singer Toše Proeski lost his life on the same road.

Due to frequent accidents, which often have no valid reason, this road is often called cursed in the media, and it has so far claimed a large number of lives, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

The accident in which one of the best Bosnian actors was involved yesterday occurred around 8 p.m. near the town of Bročice, at a spot where, about twenty minutes earlier, an as-yet-unknown driver had knocked down several illuminated signs that were redirecting traffic to the right lane due to roadworks on the motorway, Jutarnji list reported.

Six cars then drove over the knocked-down signs, their tires punctured by sharp objects, including a vehicle in which, besides the driver, there were two female passengers.

The driver stopped the vehicle in the left lane to try to change the punctured tire, and the two female passengers stood next to him.

At that moment, a Škoda with Bosnian license plates driven by actor Hadžihafizbegović approached, attempting to pass between the motorway barrier and the stopped vehicle, but he hit the 63-year-old woman and the driver of that car, and then a pile of earth.

All three injured, including Hadžihafizbegović, were taken to the hospital in Nova Gradiška, where the 63-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries around 9 p.m., while Hadžihafizbegović was kept for treatment due to more serious injuries, Jutarnji list further writes.

Hadžihafizbegović had the accident yesterday, October 12; Croatian actress Lambaša was killed on that section on October 23, 2013, and singer Proeski lost his life at almost the same spot on October 16, 2007, NAP writes.
