Five people arrested at Bosnia and Herzegovina border crossings

(Patria) - Five people have been arrested at the border crossings of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Officers of the Bijeljina Border Police Unit apprehended I.Č. (1980), a citizen of the Republic of Serbia. Border checks revealed that he is wanted by the Basic Court in Bijeljina for several counts of "grand theft". He was checked upon entry into Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Popovi International Border Crossing and handed over to officers of the Bijeljina Court Police.

At the same time, officers of the Zvornik Border Police Unit apprehended V.S. (1985) as it was determined that he is wanted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton for the criminal offense of "grand theft of motor vehicles" and by the Pale Police Station for the criminal offense of "endangering security".

Previously, this BiH citizen was taken over at the Karakaj – Mali Zvornik crossing from officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia for possessing a forged BiH driver's license. Due to the grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of "document forgery", a report will be submitted against V.S. to the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Istočno Sarajevo. He was handed over to officers of the Pale Police Station.

Officers of the Brod Border Police Unit apprehended E.O. (1980) after it was determined that he is wanted by the Municipal Court in Tuzla for serving a prison sentence. The BiH citizen was checked upon exit from BiH at the Brod crossing and handed over to officers of the Odžak Court Police.

At Sarajevo International Airport, members of the BiH Border Police apprehended V.K. (1993) on a flight from Vienna. It was determined that the BiH citizen is wanted by the Municipal Court in Gradačac for the criminal offense of "grand theft". He was handed over to officers of the Court Police Department of the Courts in Sarajevo Canton.

Officers of the Orašje Border Police Unit apprehended Ž.M. (1970) as it was determined that he is wanted by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton for the criminal offense of "evasion of alimony".

A citizen of BiH and the Republic of Croatia was checked upon entry into our country at the Orašje crossing and handed over to officers of the Mostar Police Administration.
