Islamic State supporters are celebrating the attacks in Brussels on social media, in which at least 28 people were killed, reports the Patria News Agency.
"The state (Islamic State) will force you to rethink a thousand times before you start killing Muslims again, and know that Muslims now have a state that defends them," stated one of the ISIL supporters on Twitter.
Just like after the Paris attacks, ISIL sympathizers celebrated the attacks under several hashtags. One of the hashtags after the Paris attack was "Paris is on fire", and this time they used "Brussels is on fire".
"You decided to attack and bomb us, so we attacked you inside your country," is one of the comments on social media.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks, which occurred a few days after Salah Abdelsalam, the main suspect in the Paris attacks on November 13, in which 130 people were killed, was arrested in Brussels.
"What we feared has happened. Our country has been hit by blind, violent, and cowardly attacks," said Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel at an emergency press conference.
The highest level of alert has been declared, and border controls have been intensified and involve the army, writes Index.
